Nothing is broken;. It is not an issue, but a feature; when you are in Orthographic View, let say Front Orthographic, then you cannot accidentally move Vertices on the Y-Axis (that you wouldn’t notice until you leave Front View) and mess up your model! This is actually a life-saver and you’ll be soooo happy that this is made this way 😉
