I follow all the steps but still fail to mirror the shape of eyelid by mirror

it seem to exaggerate more on right after I mirror the shape….

and the left side does not work..

why is that happen?

Can you provide a download link to your .blend file (via dropbox, google drive, etc) so I can take a closer look?

Found a solution in my case! Try to use “mesh>symmetrize” after applying mirror modifier. Don’t forget about pivot (origin) point of your mesh – it must be centered (shift+c > ctrl+shift+alt+c > origin to 3d cursor). Hope this will be heplful.
