Why is my model showing something different between edit and object mode? This is what I see in edit mode https://i.imgur.com/wMfImGz.png .

This is what I see in object mode https://i.imgur.com/0gWDI3k.png . When I put the view in wireframe I can see edges that I can not select as seen here. https://i.imgur.com/DoIuLcH.png
