Unfortunately I don’t have a version of my file WITH the shapekey anymore, as I was so eager to stamp more pores, so I deleted the shapekey, as I didn’t need it anymore/couldn’t fix the bug. I know this doesn’t help anyone that might also encounter this problem, since you can’t check what went wrong, but maybe the next person (if it happens again) will be smarter and save a version WITH the shapekey. But thanks anyway!
