How to properly Unwrap the Cup?

Hey Jonathan, jut finished your custom camera rig tut. AWESOME dude! Anyway, I’m having a terrible time unwrapping this cup. I’ve looked on YT and there are really no solid videos on how to properly “mark seams” and unwrap a coffee cup. Here I am able to unwrap a full character and stumped on a mere coffee cup. Sheesh! LOL

Can you help me with this? Thanks “bro-hemuth” (Kent would like that one, haha).

Sure thing David, what is it about the seams that’s got you stumped? Usually I’ll just place them wherever the features naturally crease or have a sharp edge.

Hello! Mark the top and bottom seams of the cup, and then do a sweep along the cylinder.
