I am using Blender version 2.8 and do not see a VBO option available in the system settings to enable. Is the VBO option enabled by default in later versions or is there another method or option available?

Read online that the VBO setting after version 2.76 by default is enabled in blender. There is no longer an option required to enable it after 2.76.
