How can learn more about emissions? When I render scenes of an object emitting particles, the size is always the same regardless of settings (a small dot with a fuzzy halo). And animating the color changes the color of ALL displayed particles. Is there a way to change the color of new particles while the ones already displayed stays the same? Is there a way to define objects that behave like particles (little 5-pointed stars, for example)?

Hey, great question. All of that is possible! It was a bit too much to get into for this introductory course, but it’s something I’ll definitely cover more in the future. In the meantime, I’d recommend checking out our course on grass, where we use particles to instance a group of objects: https://cgcookie.com/course/creating-grass-in-blender/
