When I open lesson_06_finish.blend and go through the steps of creating the UV grid images for each of the two maps, then switching the 3D view to Textured, I just see black, rather than the checker pattern shown in the video. I went through the Texturing Fundamentals course as well and I don’t know what’s happening. Any hints? Thanks!

It’s probably a discrepancy between Blender versions. I recommend using the version of Blender seen in the video (2.72). That should ensure consistency.
