        Namely so that my final model is software agnostic. If I use creasing, the model is stuck in Blender since creasing is a blender-specific feature. By adding holding edges I can export to sketchfab, or zbrush, or maya, etc.

        It’s mostly personal preference, but I personally feel better about my mesh be software agnostic in the end.
