I m with Jonas here, The tutorials for drawing here on CG cookie are very nice in my opinion, specially for color and light, or how to work a concept, so point 4 of jonas listing, and will not hurt watchign them and learning, but all these in my opinion require you to already have a base in drawing, if you are a begginer, quick sketchs to train your hand, figure drawing and learning anatomy and perspective, as well as getting the gesture, what Jonas note on point 2, are where you should start, there are plenty of books for this, and if you get the chance of getting into a live figure drawing class that would be a great place to start in my opinion.
