At 6:40 you perform a rotation in Edit Mode, yet the Local orientation does not reflect the change.

I’m having a hard time understanding why the local orientation did not change to reflect the transformation. It seemed like initially, we established that transformations in Edit mode affect local orientation, and transformations in Object mode affect global orientation. Yet the rotation in Edit Mode did not reflect in local orientation…?

Is it that translations have to be done in edit mode, and rotations have to be done in object mode, for the local orientation to behave as specified in the video?

Now I am performing transformations (both translation and rotation) in edit mode, but in object mode, the global and local orientations are the same… I am very confused.
