In your video when you are rotating its rotating the cube around its own center, but when I am trying to rotate it it rotates around the 3dcursor. Is that because of some settings?

Yes, you (probably accidentally) switched your pivot to the 3d cursor. You have to switch it back to ‘Median point’ at the bottom menu of the 3d view.
