You’re correct that once we edit particles in Particle Edit mode, we cannot go back to adjust core particle settings like hair length and number. It’s definitely caused me to re-do hair grooming at times, especially when doing a full hairdo groom. Though with these simple locks it’s not too much to redo if need be.
