      Hey CG Cookie Community,

      I hope that you’re doing well in life. This topic is not a question but rather a kind measure. I would like to inform you of a bug I recently detected within the hair particle system when using Blender 5.0.0 or 5.0.1.

      Children particles do not display in the viewport when clicking the “Children” checkbox, thus making it rather difficult to groom your character’s hair.

      This does work, however, in Blender 4.5.5 LTS.

      After doing some online research, I discovered that I wasn’t completely going mad and that several users were experiencing the same issue.

      I’m using Blender 4.5.5 LTS until the Development Team has addressed the problem, which I am most certain they will attend to.

        There is always something, this is why the Terminators would have just crashed mid shooting. Nice find Bennie.

          Thanks for the heads-up Bennie!

          It looks like it’s working again in 5.1, so maybe it’ll also get fixed in 5.0.2
