Hi everyone,
I’m new here and new to Blender. I joined last week and started with the Mesh Modeling CORE and Make It 3D printing courses. I found both really helpful and easy to follow, and I’m looking forward to progressing through the final projects and other courses soon.
I just happened to listen to the Denoise podcast episode about GPL and the history of Blender last week. Then, I learned about BCON this weekend and watched the keynote. With Ton’s announcement, it feels like a really interesting time to join this community and start using Blender.
I was just curious to hear any longtime Blender users’ opinions of Ton’s retirement announcement, the succession plans, and the future of Blender. The story of Blender is really cool, and this feels like the beginning of a new chapter.
I’d love to hear your thoughts and any insight you might be able to share. Also, I haven’t watched the other BCON videos on Blender’s YT page. Anything you recommend checking out when I have time?
Thanks!
