      So when I use the knife tool to cut into the back it only creates vertex points that are not connected by edges, thus not making any faces for me to extrude. I know I’m doing something wrong but I have no Idea what that is…Please help 🙁

            …it’s possible, that you try to Cut a Hidden or Deleted Face, that doesn’t work. That would be a bit like trying to cut air; you can’t cut a sandwich that isn’t there.

              And remember, most of the time trying to get something fixed is much worst than just starting over. When you start again you gain speed and you much clearly see what step you took wrong and that’s when the learning starts to happen.

I don’t think the face I’m trying to cut into is hidden as it seems to be filled in even when I’m in x-ray mode. Hope this helps. I’m contemplating starting over but It’s just odd because one time it worked but then I messed up the next step so started over from that spot. now it does this every time.

                  Something funky is going on maybe with your selection. You can see you have a bottom vertex selected here:

                  See how at the opposite side the selected vertex is orange and the one circled in red, the vertex is black. That’s because it’s not selected, so maybe the knife tool is snapping into the wrong vertex and it’s getting confused. So maybe try doing the cuts in perspective view so you know for sure you’re targeting the top face. Don;t worry about the cuts being misaligned, you can straightened them after you cut.

                    Omar, thank you!!! I did just that, using the knife tool in perspective mode and not bottom view and it worked first try. You rule!
