      Where can I find a quick overview/tutorial on the use of the NLA and action editor in blender?  I’m confused on how to edit different actions without changing the original ones.

        I thought it would be covered on some of the Fundamentals but I can’t find it. I swear I had seen Wayne talk about it, but I can’t find it either. If the other guys don’t know maybe it’ll be a quick YouTube search and see if a decent video pops up.

          Same here, but it’s mentioned here and there as far as I could look into it.  I was hoping for getting a directly usable resource as the first few results in youtube kind of missed the issues I have.  I’ll continue my search and share my findings here.

            found this one from CBailey that really takes you from the basics, and I see now why I struggled: I didn’t understand how to store the animatio in action editor and push it into that action so that it would free the animation keyframes in the main dopesheet (if I make sense), AND in 4.4 some buttons are now hidden in the menu structure here it is; https://youtu.be/Hz1TwvSNsrA
