Unable to weight paint on the Right side?

Hi,

When I am weight painting the wrangler I am unable to paint certain groups from the right side, only from the left. Why could this be? I have mirroring turned on. Should it matter what side you paint from. The legs seems to work from both sides, but the Torso and arms only from the left.

Is there a mirror modifier on the model?

I probably left that on there by mistake – or on purpose. I can’t remember now.
