    How exciting, right? 🙂

As a 3D artist, let’s face it—creating cables is unavoidable. But honestly, it can be pretty fun and instantly adds complexity to your scene. In this challenge, pay close attention to the cable’s shape, material, and those subtle color variations

I challenge you to make this 100% in Blender (no-add-ons) and see what you can come up with.

I should preface and get ready for next week. I will be challenging all of us with a much more complex model, but I think it will be super fun to create.

A used extension cord where the ground prong isn’t broken off? That must be fake. 😀

Not entirely happy with the result. I think you can use a little “trick” here. Model the cable and then land it on the ground with Physics. I tried the whole weekend but the result was not so nice. Here is the manually rotated cable

Now that looks pretty good! I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I’m impressed with the “real” feeling of the chord placement and the materials on the cord itself. I will say kudos to you for hanging with me throughout the entire journey of submitting these projects. Very inspiring, keep it up!

Leo is the Challenge King. Like Mufasa but without the evil brother.
