This reminds me of Projecting cards in nuke. I do this a lot in Zbrush with Spotlight. Great stuff, thanks for showing in Blender.

I don’t know Nuke or Zbrush (apart from the names…), but it is not unlikely that Projecting cards is basically the same thing.
