How to make a spiral?

Hi everyone!
I’m trying to make a kind of spiral that’s flat on the ground with perfectly round edges, if that makes sense (smoother than the drawing).
It’s possible to extrude points of course, but then it’s not perfectly round. I also tried using the screw modifier but I can’t seem to figure out how to do it. Can anyone help?

Easiest way I know, is to enable the Add Curve: Extra Objects and add a Curve > Spiral:
