Best 3d modeling laptops for beginners

I always say get the most powerful one that your budget allows you to, you can’t go wrong. I like Lenovo and Alienware, the ROG ones I had were ok. But of course Laptops were for doing normalish Blender things, when doing heave scenes and renders those poor laptops sounded like a jet engine. I changed to desktop a while back, thy can handle the brute force and for a better price. 

Personally I’d get a desktop. You get a lot more power for the same and maybe even lower cost than that of the laptop. 

I don’t know how you envisage working on this but in my view you can’t expect to do this on a lunch break while at work. I’m old fashioned, so for me you need to do this sitting at a desk for extended periods of time – so the need for a laptop is redundant.

A Desktop will give you far more power for your money, and believe me, working in 3d you’re gonna need it.

There are somethings a laptop just can’t handle.

Unless you can afford a top of the range mac book pro (Four thousand UK pounds). But remember, upgrading components a few years down the line is not really an option.

Wouldn’t it be possible to buy a Desktop and free up space on your Laptop, by moving XCode and Android Studio to your Destop?

Then you could have Blender both on your Laptop, for working when travelling, and on your Desktop, for working and Rendering…
