      i understand how to fix this but my question is why its happening in he first place?

      i wanna know what i did wrong to avoid it in future projects

        Can you give a little more context? What where you doing, when did you notice they got messed up, maybe post screenshots. Is it possible that you had Live Unwrap and Tag Edge as Seam enabled all the time? And as you worked the UV’s got shuffled all the time?

          Like Omar said, a screenshot of your messed up UVs would help us understand the issue.
