      I still don’t understand why you went with a curve instead of a mesh object for the ring. Could you explain a little bit more the reasoning behind that decision? 🤔

        Hi Wendy @wendy10698 ,

        It is mainly because Curves come with nice UVs.

        There is even a nice trick, where you Extrude the Circle and Tilt the control points 90°:

        You certainly can use a Mesh Circle, but it’s a lot more of a hassle to get the UVs right.

          We all like freebies, even if it’s UV’s I’ll take’em. I guess another reason would be that it’s so much easier to control a curve if you want to make changes. With a mesh you’d have lots of vertices which can add kinks if fiddled with too much.
