Hey all, just going through the next round of courses and like the idea of an overall progress thread so hopefully I can keep this updated!

After completing the basic primitive course, I did want to make it more realistic, but want to learn more around snapping and alignments, so for the time being… I did a model of my primary monitor.

Looking forward to posting more in the future!

Dangs, I’m jealous of that monitor, even if it’s a low res 3D model, it looks sweet. I want one now. Good work Tim, keep on modeling and posting work. You’ll be a master in no time. Keep on rocking. 🤘

I started on the primitive challenge last night and since I was watching Battlestar Galactica in the background, I decided to model a few elements of the CIC.

I figured this could be useful for future courses around material, lighting, etc. Still a lot to do and so far I have remade the table and Dradis console a few different times as I learned more ways to improve workflows. Still stuck on one are, but will ask in the other categories.

Battlestar Galactica, now that’s a classic. I mean the remake, not the very very old one. Now I want to watch it again.

                  Great work so far @timlavelle,

That’s a good idea, to practise modeling objects from other sources as well as following courses.

                  Happy Blending!

Thanks all! Did some more work on the table last nigh and decided to do it again as I wasn’t happy with my shape versus the real one. Thanks for all the comments and loves!
