One of the changes in the site was that now only instructors see the submissions and give feedback to make it more personal. I don’t know if this will always be the case but we’re still evaluating if it makes for a better experience.

Gotcha. I did like being able to see others’ submissions a lot. It was motivating and was good for getting ideas/inspiration. That said, I totally get the value of going more personal as well. Maybe an option to choose whether your submission is public would be best.

Yeah, I agree with that as well. Enjoyed seeing other submissions. However, a public/private toggle would be perfect for that!

Agreed.

There are times it would be nice to have the option to only have the instructors view the submissions. If this were Facebook, I would absolutely be hesitant to let other people see my work while I’m still learning. But sometimes I actually WANT to share the finished product. Especially on this site, where the learning atmosphere is so strong and supportive.

Being able to see other’s finished work was nice too. It’s cool how different the results can be when so many people are tasked with the same project.
