For some reason, something changed with my emitter and it’s now only emitting particles on one side of my plane and my undo history doesn’t go back far enough to figure out what I changed. Does anyone know?

Been a while since I did this tutorial, but is it something where the particles are only supposed to be traveling in the negative Z direction, but instead you have have them displacing along  all 3 axes?

          Hey @brandonwamboldt ,

Using a plane as an emitter, you will only have particles emitted from one side.

The plane emitter has only one face, which makes it simpler.

Every face of every object has a positive (blue) side and a negative (red) side, aka external and internal on an object such as a cube.

The normal velocity in the particle settings will be a positive number to emit from the positive side (blue) and a negative number from the negative side (red).

For the rocket launch you want this normal velocity set as -1.

Make sure your particle system is on your Smoke Emitter object only, I see similar issues with the smoke, often the particle system is also on the Smoke Particle object.

          Hope this helps!
