U-shaped Pipes in Underground Parking Garages

It all depends what the pipe is used for. A bend like this is fine for a gas pipe, or a liquid pipe if it uses a pump. Free flowing liquid would get trapped, however this is still used in toilets and sinks to prevent smells from drains coming back up the pipe. I doubt this is the use for these pipes. These are most likely gas pipes.
