How to remove a piece of sculpture?

Hello!) What should I do if the fin is too high and I cannot move it so as not to ruin everything else? What’s the best way to remove a piece of a sculpture if it’s in the wrong place or if I change my mind about keeping it?

Maybe use Line Project:

And then smooth out the plane, where the cut was made:

You can also try Box Trim or Lasso Trim, but then you must disable Dyntopo before doing that, or it won’t work..also a lot slower than the Line method.
