strange edges with retopology

      hey guys,

      does anyone know what is causing these strange edges ? 

      its in the middle of the model and mid at the legs

      (tryed smooth and recalculate but those dont work )

        Maybe look at it in Wireframe mode (without the original model) to see if there are any inside Faces that shouldn’t be there. If you can’t see anything that’s wrong, then maybe there are double Vertices where those edges appear. Be careful when using M > Merge by Distance. I would not select the whole Mesh when trying that, because that might mess up the mouth area, where Vertices are already very close to each other.

        Could be something else though…If you post a link to the .blend, we can have a look.

          well not really seeing anything wrong (in Wireframe i do see strange shades but no double verticies)  tryed to merge too but without succes

            Hi Yuki,

            I think it’s the Merge Distance in the Mirror Modifier. You seem to have it at zero. Try increasing it a little. I think the default is 0.001, but even 0.0001 appears to solve your problem:

              hey Spikey,

              Already thanks for the help, it solved a part of the problem. somehow i used glossy node and that also gave those edge like looks.

              finally got it fixed 😀 

              again thanks a lot for the help
