      ive tried using a xyz separate node with a colour ramp and then using a wave texture but it still looks bad how can i fix this please or at least have a starting point?

        Can you post a screenshot of your setup so far, what the result looks like, and what reference you’re trying to shoot for?

              I would think some shader “layers” and/or “masks  would be a good way to achieve this. You could use some bump and even “draw” in the height changes as well as the texture color. Then you could do another layer/mask for the grim and surface imperfections. This would be worth looking into.
