Use select similar polygon sides to select the football seam

I ran into a problem because my seams were quite a bit wider so selecting by area didn’t work for me. However, there is a key difference between the seams and the rest of the ball, each of the faces are quads rather than triangles. Face select one of the seam faces, Select Similar, Polygon Sides, this will select all of the seam faces. Then invert selection, switch to vertices, invert selection again and then switch to edges and you will have all of the seam edges selected.
