I just can’t figure out how you snapped the second Inset on the “shield” to the same height of the first one.
It seems like you klick on the face of the first inset and after that it snaps to the same height?

I’m using my own keymap (industrial as a base), but even if I switch to the blender default keymap, I seem not to be able to recrate this behavior.

Hi! If you select the face and have your snapping mode set to vertex, hit G for grab and Y to constrain to the Y axis, you’ll be able to hold Ctrl and hover over a vertex on the second face to snap to it along the Y axis .

        Happy modeling!
