period key won’t on iMac

Am using an iMac the period key won’t work for me to jump back to the center of the 3d viewport after moving and rotation the 3d viewport want is the hotkey for iMac

It’s the numpad period key!

If you don’t have a numpad you can set it to something else in the Preferences > Keymap > 3D View > 3D View (Global) > View Selected.

It is also found in the ‘View’ menu header. You can assign it a quick shortcut so it is tied to Q key or do as spikey suggested.
