Lighting Blender 2.8 vs 2.7

I noticed the submissions on page 1 are brighter/lighter overall than submissions on every other page. I went to look after I saw that my version was also brighter than the video’s version. It’s especially noticeable on the bottom right corner of submission images, where the wood is darker on older submissions, but most of the most recent are lighter in tone. Is this the difference between 2.8 and 2.7 clients? What’s causing the difference?
