Best way to make this fluid thingy

Hey guys, I’ve been wondering what would be the best way to make a fluid thing like this: There’s a logo (just a phrase) and fluid comes out of a cup and forms the logo. I’ve been thinking of doing it in reverse, like the logo melting into fluid/coffee and then editing making it in reverse to look like the fluid becomes the phrase. 

Is there a better way of doing this? I can’t think of a way to make the fluid become the phrase that’s not this
