      After working with Blender for at least 5 years now, I’ve noticed that there have been huge gaps in time between when I got back into Blender, and when I last used it.

      I fear that this could potentially be burnout, and I can assume that it is, especially after I start a time consuming project that often spans over several days, and sometimes an entire month, depending on the current situation.

      I myself have a habit of not taking breaks and going full speed ahead.

      What have been some solutions for you guys?

        There is no rule to how often you SHOULD take a break. This will vary indiviually.An estimate could be when you feel you need it. But if you do it often and you stay away for a long time, you will have troubles getting nto things. One thing that note is that you can reduce your daily “blender time” if you feel weary. It is more eficient to learn on a daily basis than taking a marathon when you have time.

          That is something that we all struggle with.  When it’s something we’re passionate about, it tends to encompass our life.

          There is no fast solution but if you do lack the self-discipline like I do sometimes, it’s best to have someone else who has an outside perspective help enforce your breaks.  Setting your schedule and hours before you start working also helps to know that you’ve gone over.  But as you seem to understand, it’s not a race but a marathon.  Pace yourself.  Also, find something that you’re equally passionate about help pull you away. Good luck!

            @arev

            Thank you so much for the feedback! I’ll consider lowering the daily time.

              @tallanx

              I appreciate the support!

              Pacing seems to be a common problem for me, so I’ll defiinitely be working on that.
